Dorothy M. "Dottie" Medei

Dorothy M. “Dottie” Medei, 84, of Maitland, FL passed away on February 16, 2017. She was born on September 8, 1932 in Amsterdam, NY to the late Anthony and Eva (Slazer) D’Arienzo. Dottie was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. She was a secretary for GE and Englehard Industries and later retired from Orange County School Systems in 1994 as a Permanent Sub/School Registrar for Dommerich/Lakemont Elementary. Dottie was the former Youth Jury Chairman founded in 1972. She was an avid gardener who will be missed for her elegance, grace and giving spirit whose entire life revolved around her family and friends. Survivors include her beloved husband of 59 years, Carl; children, Mark (Kim) Medei and Michelle (Michael) Hill; brother, Fred (Susan) D’ Arienzo and 4 grandchildren, Zachary, Maxx, Gracie and Sebastian and cherished nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, February 19 from 4-6 pm at Baldwin-Fairchild Ivanhoe with a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, February 20 at 10:30 am in the Chapel at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 326 N.
