She was born on October 24, 1939, in Maricao, Puerto Rico. Genoveva lived a life filled with quiet strength, warmth, and kindness. She worked as a retail associate for JC Penney’s, where her friendly spirit and caring nature touched many people throughout the years. Music was one of her greatest joys, and it brought light and comfort to her life.
Genoveva was preceded in death by her beloved sisters, Luz Negron, Monza Rodriguez, and Milta Irizarry.
She leaves behind her loving daughter, Irma Cordova, along with many family members and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
Genoveva had a way of making those around her feel loved and welcomed. To know her was truly to love her. Though she is no longer with us, the love she shared and the memories she created will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
