I'm sorry for your loss. I knew George through the Army Reserve and remember him driving the fuel truck on our week-end drills and on annual training. He was a good friend and I enjoyed the 12 years I spent with him in the Army. We were all good soldiers!

Another great memory is when I asked for George's blessing to marry Maria. He answered, "Absolutely not!!"I thought he was going to pick me up and throw me out of the door when I told him we were going to be married anyway. He eventually said, "I'll see. "I knew we would win him over at that point.

I remember lots of fishing trips. The craziest one was a beautiful night about 2 am. George was on my right. Both of us got a hit at the same time. I was totally absorbed with my line. Then Mike says in a calm voice, "Doug, dad fell in." I look to my right and George was gone. I couldn't believe it. Then I saw his head among the weeds. We helped him out and finished the night fishing.

I know the family I use to stay at Amparos house across the street and I use to go over there house to play with Michele and Maria and I even went to church with them a few times. George and Agnes were really nice couple and I'm so blessed that I got to know them over the years. God Bless You All and may your heart s heal and know he is smiling down on y'all and not having to suffer no more. I'm so sorry for your loss and prayers going up for y'all. God Bless You All.
