Gertrudis "Turuta" M. Sosa

She worked as Seamstress.

She was actively involved in Church, being a very devout Catholic.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonidas Baez and Ana Graciela Albino; her husband, Joselino Sosa; and her daughter, America Jimenez.

She is survived by her son, Jose Antonio Sosa; and her daughter Elsa Pichardo as well as her many grandchildren and extended family.

The family would like to thank Henry and the staff at Parkview Rehabilitation Center for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days. They would all listen to her stories, and Henry was able to relate since he is also Dominican.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home on Friday August 14, 2026, between 12 and 4 PM.
