

If tears could build a stairway and thoughts a memory lane I’d walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. No farewell words were spoken, no time to say good-bye. Harry Miller Robison of Portsmouth, VA passed away peacefully in Sanford, FL on Sunday, August 7th, 2011.
He was born in Salisbury, North Carolina on February 23, 1928 and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Portsmouth, Virginia and The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. Harry was recruited in college by the Boston Red Sox and played professional baseball for 1 year. He remained an avid ballplayer, coach, umpire and fan for the rest of his life and was inducted into the Tidewater Virginia Softball Hall of Fame in 1991. He was also a member of the Ambassador Club in Portsmouth, Va
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ruth and Thomas Lee Robison, one brother, John Robison, and his wife, Louise Robison. He is survived by two sons, Thomas Lee Robison of Virginia Beach, James Barry Robison of Newport News, Virginia, and one daughter, Teresa Robison Collard of Winter Park, Florida. He was a loving grandfather to his three granddaughters, Lauren Courtney Robison of San Antonio, Texas and Zoe and Abigail Collard of Winter Park. He is also survived by one sister, Hilda McDonald of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and a cousin Pauline Martin of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Harry was an instant friend to all he met and will be greatly missed by everyone
