Helen R. Smathers, 90 of Orlando passed away on September 22, 2012. She is survived by her sons, David L. Smathers and his wife Judy, Dennis Smathers and his wife Paula, granddaughter, Donna Smathers Walker, grandson Terry Smathers , great grandchildren, Nicole, Madeline, and Joseph Walker. Helen is also survived by her brother in law, Ralph Smathers and her cousin, Regina Morrison. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam T. Smathers. A visitation will be held from 6-8PM Friday, September 28, 2012 at Carey Hand Cox-Parker Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 11:00AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Orlando.
