Janet Martha Menzies

Jan was born April 20, 1931 in Buffalo, New York, the first of three children of Gertrude and George Clarke.

She met and married her husband, Donald Thomas Menzies of 64 years in Kenmore, New York. They had four children.

Jan trained for nursing and was musically gifted with a beautiful voice. She sang and directed choir at the various Methodist churches she attended and sang with the Seminole Singers for many years. In midlife she became a real estate agent at Watson Realty. She was very active at church. Jan loved to cook, did cake decorating for a time and planned and organized church weekly dinners for years. She was a strong Christian and a devoted mother and grandmother. Jan was outgoing, loved people, family and Church.

She is survived by one brother, James Robert Clarke, her four children, Lynne Brasfield, Judith Riebel, Kenneth Menzies and Donald Menzies Jr, her four grandchildren, Jerre Brasfield II, Joshua Riebel, Laura Riebel and Scott Menzies, as well as five great- grandchildren, Jerre Brasfield III, Reneé Brasfield and Myles Brasfield, Andrew Riebel and Jack Heydorn.
