Big Jim was a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from Lorillard Tobacco, where he started in Sales and became Assistant Division Manager. He and his wife, also owned and operated Kids Love Us Day Care Center on Howell Branch Rd. Winter Park for many years.
His passion other than his family was cooking, he loved to cook. He cooked homemade meals to the children at his day care center, and once a moth he would cook for the seniors at Calvary Assembly. He was a member of Northland Community Church.
He is survived by his beautiful wife of 53 years, Rhonda; daughters, Michelle and her spouse, Diona and Adrienne Brickley; grandchildren, Anthony, Jacob, Jesse, Jonah and Jimmy and his spouse, Cynthia; and his sister, Carol Lemus and her spouse, Angel.
