Julia A. Robertson

Julia A. Robertson (February 16, 1920- March 1, 2023) passed away peacefully in Winter Park on March 1, 2023. She was born February 16, 1920 in Lebanon Tennessee and moved to Orlando in 1936 after her father’s death. She married Richard Ginther in 1942 and had her first child, Judy, in 1943. She suffered the loss of her first husband, a pilot, in World War II. After being stationed in California, she returned to Orlando in 1945 where she eventually met Bob Robertson and they married in 1949. They had two children together, Robin and Robert Jr. and Julia also had a stepdaughter from Bob’s first marriage, Gloria Mandelik. She was married to Bob for 48 years until his death in 1995. Together they traveled all over the world to over 100 countries and to every continent except Antarctica. She was very active socially and loved to play tennis and golf, taught Sunday School at First Presbyterian Orlando for 14 years, was a member of CCO, Rosalind Club, First Presbyterian Orlando, First Presbyterian Jackson Hole, and The Land Trust of Jackson Hole and even starred in three advertisements and was featured on a postcard for Sanlando Springs. Perhaps her favorite thing of all was her home in Wilson, Wyoming. There she indulged in fly fishing and hiking in the Teton Mountains and surrounding areas. It was not uncommon for her to hike 10 to 15 miles into the mountains enjoying the exercise, beautiful scenery and the wildlife. She was fortunate to have many, many friends that she loved and who loved her. She lived a full life and is now at peace with the Lord. She is survived by her four children, Judy Peace (Rush), Robin Johnson (Tommy), Robert Robertson Jr. (Cassie) and Gloria Mandelik, her four grandchildren, Tommy Johnson (Nadya) , Todd Johnson (Tara), Robert Shawn Robertson and Randi Mazhari (Aaron), her three step-grandchildren Rush Peace Jr. (Kaci Calfee), Catherine Ashford (Elton) and Samantha Kroll (Curtis) as well as four great grandchildren, Luke, Nolan, Cameron and Elliot and one step great granddaughter Audrey.
