Marcial Remitera, 78, went to his rest on April 17, 2025. He was born in San Antonio, Pili, Camarines Sur, Philippines. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Teresita Velarde Remitera, and his children, Theresa Holt and Jon Remitera. Marcial honorably served in the United States Navy for 14 years. Following his discharge, he continued his 32 years of federal service, working in US Immigration, and finally retiring in 2014 from the Social Security Office of Disability Adjudication and Review.
A faithful Seventh-day Adventist, Marcial was known for his unwavering faith and dedication to the mission of sharing the Good News of Jesus. He served faithfully in leadership, Sabbath school, and evangelism in the local church. He had a deep love for the Lord and did his best to live a life reflected in His teachings. That commitment to sharing the Gospel touched many lives.
A man of deep faith and conviction, Marcial was a tireless servant of God, spending countless hours in leadership roles and evangelism. His love for the Lord permeated every aspect of his life, from his unwavering belief to his actions in the church and community. He served faithfully in various capacities within the local church, organizing Bible studies, leadership, and sharing the Good News with anyone needing encouragement. His passion for evangelism left a lasting impact on many lives.
Marcial valued family above all. He dedicated his life to instilling in his children the importance of faith, hope, and love for Jesus. As a father, he taught them by example, guiding them to live with integrity, compassion, and a heart for service.
In addition to his deep love for God and family, Marcial was passionate about music, particularly singing and playing the guitar. His musical gifts brought joy to many, and he often shared them with the church and family. Marcial was also a staunch advocate for justice, always ready to lend a helping hand and uplift those around him.
A public visitation for Marcial will be held Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, 7520 ALOMA AVE, WINTER PARK, FL 32792, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
