DUBA, MARY JANE, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born to Charles and Kathryn Miner on November 25,1927 in Champaign, Illinois. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Thomas Duba and her brothers Phillip and Danny. Mary was the matriarch of the Duba family. With her strong sense of faith, love, compassion and acceptance of all, she set the example for everyone. Her greatest enjoyment in life was the time spent with her family. Mary loved preparing Sunday meals for her family and friends. She possessed a sharing heart; her home was a gathering place for all. Her special Sunday and Holiday get-togethers will be missed by everyone. She loved spending time with Tom her loving husband, their eight children, 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She will live on in the hearts of the many lives she touched - As a loving mother, grandmother and friend - She remains our guiding light! Mary was an active member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church for over 40 years. Surviving are her brother Richard "Dickie" Eastin; sisters Cristina Randall, Mary Scott, children, Jim Duba (Kayla), Linda Sheffield (Mike), Deborah Duba, David Duba, Mike Duba (Marian), Karen Eldredge (Tom), John Duba (Tracy), Jody James (Bill); 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 2 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 526 N. Park Ave, Winter Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Mary Duba to St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church for the homeless.
