Michael John Moore M.D.

Dr. Michael John Moore MD, 65, of Orlando, passed away peacefully Sunday morning July 12, 2015, after a long battle with malignant melanoma. Michael was born August 20, 1949 in Bartow, Florida. He graduated from Bartow High school and continued on to medical school graduating from the University of Santiago in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Dr. Moore completed his medical training at St Mary’s Health Center in St. Louis, Missouri. He then returned to Florida to practice medicine in Orlando. Dr. Moore established Michael J Moore MD PA a solo Internal Medicine practice in downtown Orlando and was on staff at Orlando Regional Medical Center and Florida Hospital. He was a member of the Orange County Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. When not practicing medicine, Michael enjoyed snow skiing and learning the French language. He was past president of the Orlando Ski Club and past board member of Kids Beating Cancer.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Bonnie Moore of Bartow. He is survived by his wife, Belinda; son, John; and cousin, Griff. Dr. Moore will be greatly missed by his patients, colleagues, friends and especially his family.

The viewing will held at 5:00pm Thursday July 16, 2015 at Baldwin Fairchild Ivanhoe Chapel. Services will be held at the United First Methodist Church of Bartow, Florida at 10:00am Saturday July 18, 2015. Also a celebration of his life will be held at the Taproom at Dubsdread on July 31, 2015 at 6:00pm.
