I just came across this posting, and am so sorry to see your Mother has passed. I tried in vane to find her last Christmas, leaving calls with numbers I thought belonged to Bettye. I will always remember how sweet and kind she was. We did get together for a while with my Mother, Mrs. Campbell and Mrs. Parker for lunch. I sure enjoyed those times. I hope at some point you all will see this posting and know I am thinking of you and your Mom. Had I known I would have definitely been to the service. Take care.

I remember spending time with your mother at your home on Lake Fairview. I was a friend of Bettye's from church and went to a few sleepovers. My prayers and condolences to the Talton family. (Orlando, Fla

Aunt Mildred was one of the foundational figures of my childhood. I loved all the meals and sleep-overs at her house, not to mention all the watermelon on hot summer afternoons and swims in the lake! I love you, dear cousins! Love and hugs, Julie (Baldwin) Mason

I have so many wonderful memories of your mother. First as a wife, mother, teacher, WMU leader, historian and counting money on Mondays. She will be missed but not forgotten.
