Rita Herrin, 71 passed away unexpectedly on July 24, 2015. Rita is survived by her sister, Ruth Trunko, her son Frank Herrin, daughter Laurel Hallman, and son, David Herrin, and four grandchildren-Hans, Brittany, Roger, and Donnie. Rita was born in Linkenheim, Germany and moved to the U.S. and has been a resident of Winter Park since 1976. She became a proud U.S. citizen in 1984. She was a member of the German-American club for over 30 years. She lived a full life, traveling extensively across the U.S., Europe, and Canada, touching many lives along the way. She was an inspiration to everyone whose lives she touched, and will be greatly missed. A celebration of Rita’s life will be held Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 10:30 am at Badlwin-Fairchild on 7520 Aloma Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32792 .
