Born March 23, 1933, in Queens, New York, she was the daughter of William H. and Margaret E. Kennedy. As a young girl, Lee loved playing the piano and roller skating. In May 1951, she was named Rose Queen of Queen's College, where she attended school.
Lee spent her youth raising her children. Later in life, she became a social worker for Orange County.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Tom; children, Brian LaPeter, Gina Kennedy and Cherie Kennedy; and grandchildren, Lauren LaPeter, Brandon O'Neill and Ryan O'Neill. She was predeceased by her parents; and two daughters, Marjorie and Michelle LaPeter.
A viewing and funeral service is from 10 a.m to noon, Monday, July 28, 2014, at Baldwin Fairchild Goldenrod Chapel, 7520 Aloma Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32792, followed by interment at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Drive, Winter Park, Florida.
