Shawn W. Bell

Shawn W. Bell, 45, of Ocoee, Florida, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on September 14, 2026. Born on June 21, 1981, Shawn lived his entire life in Central Florida, where he made lasting memories, lifelong friendships, and countless connections with the people he loved.

Shawn was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Dawn S. Bell, and his father, Wilmer Bell.

He leaves behind his wife, Melanie; his first wife, Bethany, his enduring first love; and their two cherished sons, Jacob and Jackson. His sons were among the greatest blessings of his life, and being their father was something Shawn treasured deeply. He was immensely proud of the men they became and cherished every moment he spent with them. He is also survived by his brothers, Steven Bell and Tommy Bell (Carrie); his sister, Diana Bell and Kathy Gooch (Sherman); his niece, Sophia, who held a special place in his heart, and many more nieces and nephews. Shawn also leaves being cousins who were more like brothers and sisters to him, along with aunts and uncles he looked up to.

Shawn had the biggest heart. He was fiercely loyal to the people he loved and would go to great lengths for family and friends. He had a unique ability to find humor in just about anything, and his laughter was contagious. Shawn was always ready for an adventure and had a way of making ordinary moments into memories.

The beach was Shawn's favorite place. For him, it was where he could relax, enjoy the moment, and simply be himself. He loved reggae music, motorcycles, and spending time tinkering with cars. Whether he was working on a car, riding motorcycles, listening to music, heading to the beach, or just spending time with the people he loved, Shawn lived life in his own unmistakable way.

Those who knew Shawn will remember his generous spirit, his loyalty, his wicked sense of humor, his daring nature, and his enormous heart. He never needed much to be happy; good music, an open road, a project to tinker with, a beach to escape to, "Shawn tacos", Mountain Dew, and the people he loved were enough.

Though his time with us was far too short, Shawn left an impression that will not fade. His stories will be told, his jokes will be remembered, his favorite sayings and traditions will live on, and the memories he created with his family and friends will be treasured forever.

Shawn will be deeply missed and forever loved by his sons, family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
