Shirley Knighten was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, in Ocoee, Florida surrounded with love. She was born in Caroleen, NC on July 24, 1937. She is preceded in death by her husband Homer Knighten, parents Julius and Elsie Hammett and brother LeRoy. She is survived by her daughter Karen Greenwood, her sister Nancy Brown and her two wonderful grandchildren, Brendan and Miles.
Her kindness and laughter touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in our memories.
Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace.
