Steven Paul Gentry was born December 22nd 1949 in Corbin Kentucky. Steve was the third of four biological children born to Robert H Gentry and Bernice Dixon. Mr. & Mrs. Gentry opened their hearts and home and adopted five more children.
The Gentry’s moved to Orlando Florida in 1965 and started Automotive One, an auto parts company. The family operated the business together and it quickly grew, opening multiple stores throughout Florida.
In the mid 1990’s Steve branched out and opened his own business. Automotive One Engine Parts Warehouse and ran it successfully until his retirement in 2016.
Steve’s lifelong passion was cars, especially hot rods. He loved traveling to car shows with his friends in his favorite 32 Ford Dearborn Roadster.
Steve was also a huge University of Kentucky Wildcats Basketball Fan! Never missed watching a game, memorizing most of the players names each season.
Steve was known for his charming, charismatic, humorous, non-filtered personality! He could tell jokes and stories for days with an amazing memory, even down to details from decades ago.
His heart was huge and he loved many. He was the type of person to give you the shirt off his back.
The love and devotion he had for his family was his greatest trait!
Sadly, Steve passed away May 29, 2020, due to complications from an infection. (Non covid) His physical absence is missed every second of the day and he was simply taken way too soon!
His soul, his heart, his memory remains in those that loved him!
