Terri Green McAbee, 53, of Orlando, Florida, passed away April 1, 2018. She was born in Monroeville, AL. on August 11, 1964. Terri graduated from Monroe County High School and received a Master’s in Counseling from Auburn University. Terri was married to Dr. Scott Watson McAbee on September 10, 1988. After a brief career in counseling, Terri devoted her time to raising her children. She had a passion for listening to others and conversing with others in both social and supportive roles. She had a welcoming smile that was without a doubt contagious to others around her. Her command of the “southern” English language was undeniable as she yelled out phrases such as “War Eagle y’all.” She loved her home and was always inspirational especially in preparation for the holidays. Her love for her children was undeniable. Her faith in God was irrevocable. The mention of a gathering with family or friends was always met with enthusiasm. Extreme enthusiasm. In the end, her love for God, her family, retreating to her “happy place” at the beach and of course her dog “Gabby” left her with a full heart. While we have lost a legend, heaven has gained an angel. Terri is survived by her husband Dr. Scott Watson McAbee; children, Taylor Leigh McAbee, Morgan Yon McAbee and Scott Watson McAbee, Jr.; sisters, Lynn Green Black and Tracey Green Dean. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Aloma United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Southeastern Guide Dogs: 4210 77th Street East, Palmetto, FL. 34221, (941) 729-5665 or www.guidedogs.org.
