

1915 in Laurium, Michigan, lived in Chicago, IL, Indianapolis, IN, Los Angeles, CA, New York City, NY, Milford, CT, Bethesda, MD, several cities in Eastern Massachusetts, and Tehran, Iran. Her last full-time job was as Manager of the Casselberry Senior Center. Before that she held jobs as an aircraft riveter, a school teacher, a journalist, a publicist, a fund raiser, a travel agent, a sales representative, an elected official, and an administrator. Throughout her life she was involved in volunteer activities for the benefit of the communities in which she lived.
She was married twice. Both her husbands, Myran of Palo Alto, CA and Tom of Casselberry, FL pre-deceased her. She raised three children and has seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is survived by her son Brian of Arlington, MA. Her son Harold of Barrington, NJ and daughter Charlene of West Haven, CT pre-deceased her.
Upon retirement she served on the Florida Transportation Disadvantaged Commission, the Florida Council on Aging, the Orlando Area MetroPlan Transportation
Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board, the Casselberry Civil Service Board, and the Casselberry Board of Adjustment. She received numerous awards and certifications for her services to these organizations. She was a representative from Florida at a national White House Conference on Transportation for Persons with Disabilities.
She lived a long, full and productive life. In addition to her rich family life, satisfying working activities and volunteer activities, she traveled extensively in the U. S., Europe, Africa, Australia, the Caribbean, Latin America and the Middle East. She was active in the Saint Mark’s Presbyterian Church in Altamonte Springs and played in its Bell Choir. She was also an active bridge player at the church and at the Lake Kathryn Community Center. A memorial service will be held at Saint Mark’s Church at 1021 Palm Springs Drive in Altamont Springs at 2:00pm on Saturday December 10. Her body will be cremated.
