Virginia Jo Riddle, DiPietro, “Ginny”, 75, of Apopka, FL, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 6, 2019 surrounded by the love of her family, who were gathered to honor her wonderful life as a wife, mother, grandmother “Mimi”, sister and friend.
Born, October 11, 1943, in Orlando, FL. to her parents, William and Ruth Riddle. Ginny attended Edgewater High School, where she graduated in 1962. Ginny was a member of the National Honor Society for the academic excellence. Ginny worked for Merrill Lynch in Winter Park, for 34 years as an account executive assistant; Ginny made many a client friend, and co-workers were family. Ginny loved her work, co-workers and clients.
Ginny enjoyed traveling, the beach, reading, music, photography, cats, and spending time with her family and doting on her precious granddaughters. Ginny and Tony would travel to the great west numerous times to take in the splendors of the National Parks. She put her natural talent to use taking pictures of the wonderful sights she saw. Her love of reading brought her to a place, where she had to keep a log of the books that she had read. Her love of music she brought into her home. Some of the fondest memories for her children is the music and laughter always present in their home. The love of traveling, reading, photography, and music she instilled in her children and grandchildren. Ginny always had a special place in her heart for her cats loving, caring, and spoiling them gave her much joy.
Ginny’s family will forever miss her loving smile, laughter, warm heart and encouraging words. She will always be in our hearts and missed by all who knew her.
Ginny is survived by her husband Anthony “Tony” DiPietro of 32 years of Apopka, FL; son William (Bill) Baker and his wife Ann of Ocoee, FL; daughter Suzanne Baker Self, her husband Eben Self; granddaughters Grace, Harper, Brooke and Emerson Self of Orlando, FL; sister Beth Everett of Sylvester, GA; many loving extended family members; and her fur babies Socks, Bella, Izzy, Holly, and Lucky. She was predeceased by her parents William and Ruth Riddle.
Memorial services will be held honoring her life, on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Maitland Presbyterian Church, 341 North Orlando Avenue, Maitland, FL 32751. at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society and no kill cat shelters.
