William "Larry" Campbell Sr.

William Lawrence Campbell, Sr (“Larry”), 78, died Tuesday, December 1, 2015, after his battle with cancer over the last 4 months. After growing up in Philadelphia, PA, Larry spent time in the U.S. Air Force, which included tours in Korea and Japan. He moved to Miami, FL in the early 1960’s where he met his wife, Joan at a local Catholic church. Larry and Joan had 5 children and enjoyed family trips to Disney World each summer. Those trips led to a permanent move to Central Florida, where Larry and his family have been since 1981. Sadly, in 1993, Larry’s wife Joan passed away after her battle with cancer. Beyond his family, Larry has been blessed with wonderful friends. Larry has built friendships all over the world and remained in touch with them throughout his life. Larry was a faithful member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Winter Park. He especially loved to take retreats at Our Lady of Florida Retreat Center in Palm Beach. Anyone who knew Larry, knew he was passionate about family, friends, wine, cruising, and his favorite restaurant, Seasons 52. Larry was surrounded by his 5 children and his priest in his final moments. He is survived by his daughters: Patty, Kelley, and Dawn; his sons: Larry Jr, and Joey; and his 8 grandchildren: Ashley, Tyler, Nicholas, Hayley, Brandon, Shane, Colin and Sydney.
