William Albert Vaice

With sadness we share that on July 25, 2020, at the age of 96, William Albert Vaice passed away.  Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on March 12, 1924, William “Bill” moved to Florida during the early 1950’s and lived in Winter Park since 1955.  

He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Betty Vaice.  He is survived by daughters Teri Lunsford and Tonya Brock.  Bill was also the grandfather of three and the great-grandfather of seven.  He will forever be remembered as our beloved Pop Pop by his grandchildren; Stephanie, Jason, and Christopher and great grandchildren; Kate, Anna, Jill, Addison, Cali, Remi, and Christopher Jr.

Bill served in the United States Navy during World War II as a gunner with the Merchant Marine.  After settling in Winter Park, he worked in the printing business for over 30 years.

Bill worked with stock car racers as a young man and continued to be fascinated with machinery and technology throughout his entire life.  Forever tinkering, experimenting, and problem solving, he demonstrated perseverance and determination in all his pursuits.

He was a loving, caring, gentle, warm hearted man that will be remembered for his patience and kindness to all he encountered.  He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
