Wyatt H. Gantt

He was a member of the Winter Park Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Wyatt was a very active volunteer in the community as well as his church where he served in many different capacities. He will be remembered as a warm, compassionate family man as well as his ability to remember everyone’s name. Wyatt was a proud graduate of the University of Virginia earning a mechanical engineering degree. He worked as an engineer for Lockheed Martin and Boeing Aerospace companies. Afterwards, he continued his career as a volunteer for the Environmental Information Center. He took many mission trips with the youth at church to West Virginia to help build and renovate homes for those in need. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Audrey in 2003. Wyatt is survived by his daughters, Cindy High and Sandra Hayes as well as his son-in-laws, Harold Cheatham and Neal Hayes along with his 4 grandchildren, James, Jenna, Shelby and Kyle. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 6-8PM at the Carey Hand Cox-Parker Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will take place on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 11:00AM at the Winter Park Presbyterian Church. Should friend’s desire, donations in his memory may be made to his church.
