Alvin Kraushar was born October 10, 1928 in the Westfield district of Wolseley. He passed away February 23, 2021 in Lakeside Nursing Home, at the proud age of 92, thanks to the great nursing care he received there.
He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Rose Kraushar of Wolseley.
Alvin leaves behind his loving wife Alma; his daughter Marilyn (Jim) Hoehn and his son Larry (Sarah Kraemer) Kraushar.

A lifetime of farming was enjoyed by Alvin where he began by raising bees, then hogs, followed by cattle and then strictly grain. He always enjoyed having a new piece of equipment in his yard and was one of the first farmers in the area to practice continuous cropping.
His interests included duck hunting with his Labrador retriever, deer hunting, curling and watching sports on TV. In his later years he loved to drive his half ton around the area, watching the crops progress from seeding to harvest time.
Alvin will be remembered as a farmer who loved his family and his farm.
A graveside service was held in the Wolseley Cemetery on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Gerald Andersen officiating.
