Andrew Nicholas Runns

Andrew “Bird” Nicholas Runns began his heavenly journey on March 7, 2024. Born on December 25, 1989, he was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Earl and Marion Runns; uncles Pernell and Orval Runns; aunt Phylis Runns; and cousins Scott and Christopher Runns.

He is survived by his mother Pearleen Runns and father Arly; uncles Everette and Keith Runns; aunt/second mother Loriann Runns and aunt/mom Christine Kirchner; brother Michael Runns; and numerous special cousins, nieces and nephews.

Andrew is survived notably by his wife and best friend, Tracey Hotomani; his treasured children Aiden, Ayanna and Kamdyn Runns; her sisters: Terra, Arlene (Mitch), Kari (Lance), Mandy, her brothers: Marcel, Lauren, Arnie and Travis; mother-in-law Carrie Deegan and father-in-law Lauren (Ave) Hotomani.

The wake took place on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carry The Kettle Nakoda Nation Community Centre. The funeral service took place on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carry The Kettle Nakoda Nation Community Centre with officiants Bernard & Joanne Jack and Delmar Runns. The pallbearers were: Aaron Runns, Brian Runns, Koby Runns, Jalon Jack, Terry Jack and Mitch McNab. The interment took place in the South Cemetery.
