Ann Kapell

July 20, 1937December 5, 2019

Ann grew up in Windthorst, SK where she completed her high school and then nursing diploma in Regina in 1960. She started her nursing career at the Kipling Memorial hospital, moved into Home Care in the 1980s, worked at the Grenfell Care Home until 1996 then completing her 41 year career in the Moose Mountain Health District Home Care Division. Mom was known for her relentless positivity, huge smile, sense of humour and art of conversation. Her goal was to bring happiness to all she encountered.

Ann married Sonny Kapell in June of 1965 and had four children; Lisa (1967), Marie (deceased in infancy 1968) and twins, Renee and Paul (1971); six grandchildren Brianna and Jordan Kolybaba, Kai and Kale Turner, Neve and Andy Kapell; sister Virginia (Harry) Jedlic and nieces and nephews - Bryn, Chad, Nichole, Robbie, Roxanne and Gary and families.

Our Granny Annie loved to cook, bake and entertain, alway sharing her home and food with open arms. She was active in her community and church and loved being a member of the Kipling choir. Music was always a part of her life. In retirement, she enjoyed visiting her children and being part of their families and holiday trips.

In Ann’s memory, please consider donation to Alzheimer’s or Dementia charities to help cure this devastating illness.

Our deepest sympathy to all of Ann’s family. Every time I had the privilege of being in Ann’s company she was always so welcoming and warm. So easy to visit with and such a loving grandma. God rest her and I’m sure she’ll be singing in the choir in heaven. Love uncle Dan and Auntie Joy Lascue

I always loved hanging out at your house. Your mom was always welcoming. I loved the blue room. Such fond memories I will carry with me for a lifetime!
