

Arthur was born in Grenfell, Saskatchewan to Carl & Margaret Kienas. He had one brother Reinhart. He married Ruby Wutke in 1954 in Tupper District, Manitoba.
Their first home was a farm by Gladstone, Manitoba. Their son Larry was born. They moved to Saskatchewan to run a country store in Oakshela, Saskatchewan with his brother. Then daughter Susan was born.
Arthur went to Moose Jaw to get his carpenter papers. He then got a job with the Broadview school unit as a carpenter. He built many classroom tables, desks for computers and kept things up to date. He built the family home in 1963 and lived there until he moved to the lodge.
Arthur loved to build, garden, hunt and go for country drives. He served on town council and church treasury at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He worked at his job for over 30 years til his retirement. He built a shop to have at home and a greenhouse for Ruby.
Arthur is survived by his son Larry (Jacki) Kienas; daughter Susan Puffalt and grandchildren: Ryan (Whitney) Asher and Ruby Kienas, Kendra (Tim) Zander and Kaleb Loewen and Breanne (Mark) Campbell.
He was predeceased by his parents; brother; wife Ruby and son-in-law Paul Puffalt.
Arthur will be remembered for his quick wit and one liners. His generosity to his family he worked so hard for. We will miss you dad, grandpa and great-grandpa.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the Broadview Cemetery with officiant Abe Driedger.
