OBITUARY

Arthur Klippenstein

January 26, 1945October 10, 2021

Arthur (Art) Albert Klippenstein passed away suddenly on October 10, 2021 at the age of 76. Born in Weyburn, Art grew up on the family farm near Trossachs. Art married his wife Diane in 1967 and spent time living in Regina, Hanley, Luseland, Semans and Wolseley where he and Diane have lived since 1982. Art retired from Lakeside Nursing Home in 2008. Art spent his winters in his workshop where he always had woodworking projects on the go, so many people will have remembrances of Art and all the things he created. In the summer Art could be found at the Katepwa Lake Cabin which he proudly built with his own hands. Art enjoyed golfing every day as a valued member of the Katepwa Beach Golf Club. Art always had an opinion that he was willing to share and debate and he will be remembered as a kind, thoughtful and practical man, who would do anything to help family, friends and neighbours.

Art was predeceased by his parents, Bernhard and Susie Klippenstein; his father and mother-in-law George and Christina Kilback, his brother Dan Klippenstein, brothers-in-law Ron Phillips, Mel Heintz, Otto Kilback, Irvin Kilback, Dennis Kilback, Gordon Kilback and Kelly Kilback; sisters-in law Marilyn Klippenstein, Kathy Eberman, Leona Poole and Esther Domres.

Art is survived by his wife of 54 years Diane Klippenstein, son Scott Klippenstein, daughter Kris Spence, son-in-law Tim and grandchildren Myah and Carson. He also leaves behind a large extended family: siblings Frank and Joan Klippenstein, Bernie Klippenstein, Dave Klippenstein, Shirley Heintz, Betty and Dan Jantzen, Joan Klippenstein, and Sadie Phillips, and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a private gathering for family and plans for a celebration at the cabin sometime next summer for all friends and family.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Diabetes Canada, 919B Albert Street, Regina, SK S4R 2P6 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 1738 Quebec Avenue, Unit 26, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9
