Audrey was born on August 4, 1924 in Eyebrow, Saskatchewan. Following High School, she attended Normal School in Moose Jaw and then taught in various one room country schools in Saskatchewan before teaching in Indian Head where she met Walter Dorwart. The two were married in 1954 and remained in Indian Head to raise their four children before moving to Regina in 2014. Audrey was involved in various organizations in Indian Head and a member of St. Andrew’s United Church. She loved to curl, play bridge, go to dances with Walter, the cabin at Lake Katepwa, Compton family reunions and visits with family and friends. Following Walter’s retirement, they were fortunate to be able to travel with many trips around the world. Audrey cherished her grandchildren, they were her pride and joy. Audrey’s sunny smile, caring ways and great sense of humour will be missed by all who knew her.
Audrey’s life will be celebrated in a private family service and the interment will be held at a later date in the Indian Head Cemetery.
