On Wednesday, December 25, 2013, Bernie Adams died on Carry The Kettle First Nation at the age of 66. The wake will be held in the residence of Pam Eashappie on Carry The Kettle First Nation on Sunday, December 29, 2013 commencing at 4:00 p.m. Funeral service on Monday December 30, 2013 in Carry The Kettle First Nation at Carry The Kettle Band Hall at 11:00 a.m. with Elder Tim Eashappie officiating. Interment in the Centre Cemetery. Predeceased by his parents Ewen and Alice Adams (Hotomani); brothers Brian, Cyril and Leon; sister Vivian and his father-in-law Irvin Ryder. Bernie is survived by his wife Pam Eashappie; three stepsons Gerard (Andrea), Wayne (Tanya), Owen; adopted children raised from birth Byron Ironstar, Wayne McKay and Tiana Hotomani; siblings, Art, Garth and sister Keitha. He also leaves behind to mourn special grandson Travis Adams and special granddaughter Mackenzie Eashappie and numerous nieces and nephews.
