I also worked with Brian at GE Railcar for many years until he left in the early 2000s. He was a great guy and fun to work with. We were all young and worked long hours together and became family. I ran into him last year after many years of not seeing Brian and in true fashion we caught up with a 30min chat in the grocery store. I left with a smile on my face and good feeling of reconnecting. My condolences go out to all those friends and family of Brian's as he will be sadly missed.

It has been years since I worked with Brian aka "Chicken" at G.E. Railcar.
My memories of him all involve high energy, crazy humor, and honesty.
Even after so long ago; his loss is a loss to us all.
Our lives are a collection of personal memories and experiences and our legacy is in the memories and experiences that we leave with others.
His legacy is significant.
My deepest condolences go out to all that had the good fortune to have known him.
The world is a lesser place without him in it; but a much better place because of his presence, no matter how fleeting it may have been.

I am shocked and saddened to hear about Brian's passing. I will miss him telling me in very great detail about his interesting adventures in gardening and making pickles. I will miss most of his jokes, some of which were so bad you had to laugh anyway. Brian was a decent guy and the next time I eat a pickle or hear a bad joke I will think about him.

Our sincere condolences to Brian's family. He truly was a good and generous soul. I'll never forget decades ago when Brian worked at GE he brought me over to the plant, showed me around and introduced me to a few people just because he knew I was looking for work. That's just the type of person he was.
We will dearly miss Brian's generosity, his skills and his sense of humor. I know we weren't the only ones to come home and find boxes of cucumbers on the front steps.
I admired Brian's work. His jobs were top notch.
And of course Brian's sense of humor, whether it was old Craven stories or a detailed description of the equipment breakdown he had last week are priceless.
It's hard to believe we won't see him anymore
Peace my friend

So sad to hear of this tragic passing. He made me laugh whole heartedly and giggle as well. All I can say is we have lost a kind soul in Brian. I am sending my deepest sympathy to all of his family and friends. "This is a stick up" and standing on his head drinking a beer are just a couple memories I will hold close, and all the Cravens.

I’m saddened to hear of Brian’s passing and wanted to express my condolences to his family. I worked with Brian at GE railcar in the late 90’s, then bumped into Brian periodically in the oil patch after he had started Provincial. I remember Brian as being a hard worker and someone who had a great sense of humour, I always enjoyed a chat and a laugh with him! Thoughts and prayers to all who knew him.
