Denise Helene Caron

Denise Helene Caron passed away on Friday, September 28, 2012 at the age of 101 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Jacques-Arthur Caron, daughter, Annette, infant daughter Laurette, stepsons, Francois, Lucien, Herve and Jean, sons-in-law, James Schnell and Peter Lunness, daughter-in-law, Noella Caron and grandson, Jean Jr., her parents, Felix and Elizabeth Gentes, brothers, Alphonse, Maurice, Joseph and Gerard; sisters Annette Beaudoin, Marguerite Goulet, Dora (Levesque) Englot, Georgette Levesque and Germaine Brisbois, Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Therese Danbrook, Claire (Daniel) Delorme, Cecile Schnell, Helen (Barry) Lyons; step daughters, Sr. Marguerite Caron and Madeleine (Isadore) Haubrich; stepsons, George (Ernesta) Caron and Louis (Stella) Caron; daughters-in-law, Gilberte Caron, Mary Caron, Helen Caron, Marie-Claire Caron, two sisters, Marie Kerkoele and Therese Lambert, thirty three grandchildren, fifty-four great grandchildren, and fourteen great great grandchildren. Denise’s life was never an easy one, her father died at age 35 and left her mother with 12 children. She became an instant mother of eight when she married a widower and together they had 6 more daughters. She was an amazing lady, working very hard on the farm and thought of others before herself. All were welcomed with open arms and nothing was too much for her. She spent her last years at the Montmartre Health Centre where she passed away. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Health Centre for their care and compassion. The funeral mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Montmartre, Sk., on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. Aguinaldo Fermo. At Denise’s request cremation will take place. Interment of cremated remains in the parish cemetery. If friends so desire contributions to the Montmartre Integrated Health Facility, Box 206, Montmartre, SK., S0G 3M0 may be tokens of remembrance.
