

Edna Lydia Grace (Kolman) Zaiser passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the age of 87 years. Edna was born in Whitewood, SK, to Lydia & Janos Kolman but spent most of her life in Glenavon, SK, which she called home. She met and married Ernest Zaiser of Whitewood in 1946. Together they moved from Whitewood to Baring, SK, then to Corning, SK and Glenavon. Edna moved to the Rudyard Manor in Kipling, SK, in 2009 where she lived on her own until her passing. Edna was predeceased by her parents and all nine of her brothers and sisters; her loving husband Ernie in 1986 and her son Garry in 1994. She is lovingly remembered by four children and their families: Drew (Juanita) and their two sons Kelsey and Jordan, Randy (Lorraine) and their two children Jodi (Pat Kinch) with their 3 children Riley, Kathleen & Owen and Tyler (Angela) with their 2 boys Kade and Zack, Sandra with her three sons Kim (Laura), Jay (Jodi) with their 2 children Kassidy and Parker and Kris (Nate Davies); Garryís daughters Trenna (Phil) and Erica (James) and his widow Dianne Wharton; and Andrea (Rod Kelly) and her two children Jami & Hunter; sisters-in-law Ruth Dayman and Marie Brown and brother-in-law Harold Zaiser (Barbara); along with numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service for the celebration of Ednaís life will be held in the Glenavon United Church, Glenavon, SK, on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Lynette Callfas officiating. Interment of cremated remains in the Glenavon Cemetery at a later date. As per Edna's wishes, her family have requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Glenavon United Church c/o Danielle Mytopher or the Glenavon Community Hall or to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) c/o the Glenavon Lions Club, all of which were actively supported by both Edna and Ernie Zaiser.
