Mary Elizabeth (Hambly) Harding lived a long and interesting life, much of it as a wife and mother in Lumsden, Saskatchewan following career years in Toronto, Ontario at the London Life Insurance Company.
In August of last year, she celebrated her 100th birthday at the Lakeside Nursing Home where she had lived for the past five years. Her niece and nephew will always remember ‘Aunt Liz’ as delightful, fun loving, with a beautiful smile and contagious laugh. She will be missed and treasured as the last of her generation in our family.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her adopted parents, Dorothy and Victor Mooney, by her husband Robert Harding, her brother Ken Mooney and her sister Margaret Whelan. She was mother to Mark Harding and Robyn Bradek, both residents of Saskatchewan and favourite Aunt of Jill Mooney and Dirk Mooney, who live in Ontario.
We would like to express our appreciation to the exceptional caregivers at the Lakeside Nursing Home in Wolseley for their compassionate care over the years.
Elizabeth’s cremated remains will be buried alongside those of her parents and siblings in London, Ontario.
