On Tuesday, October, 2, 2012, Emma Elizabeth Markwart passed away in the Grenfell & District Pioneer Home, Grenfell, SK., at the age of 89 years. Predeceased by her parents, Adam and Eliabeth (Wirth) Markwart, brothers: Valentine (Vi), Ferninand, Jack (May), and William (Jean); sisters: Frieda (William) Mantay, Edith (John) Hirsch, Minnie (Mike) Leier, Eleanor (Jack) Davis, and Evelyn Roset; brothers-in-law Isadore Weckend and Urban Thomson; and sister-in-law Elma Markwart. Emma is survived by her sister Alvina Thomson; brothers: John, Herb (Thersa), and George (Evelyn); brother-in-law Ted Roset. Emma is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Grenfell Apostolic Church, Grenfell, SK. Interment to follow in the Grenfell Cemetery.
