Eric was born in Glenavon, SK. to Wilbert and Mary Edith Mortimer (nee Old). He attended school in Glenavon.
In his adult years, he lived in Regina, SK. and was employed by Regina Windows and Exteriors.
He was predeceased by his parents Wilbert and Mary; siblings: Robert Mortimer, Herschel Mortimer, and Shirley Strachan.
Eric is survived by his sister-in-law Doreen Mortimer of Cochrane, Alberta. He is also survived by nephews and nieces: Mitch (Bev) Mortimer of Calgary, Mace (Leslie) Mortimer of Calgary, Troy (Elisabeth) Mortimer of the United Kingdom, Lynette (Brian) Callfas of Glenavon, Patsy (Ron) Kelly of Saskatoon, Eldon (Lillian) Strachan of Oak Bluff, Manitoba, Brent (Gwenda) Strachan of Melville, Sask and their families. He is also survived by his lifelong friend, Steve Rodway of Regina.
The funeral service was held in the chapel of Tubman Funeral Home, Wolseley, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with officiant Rev. Koshy David. Interment followed in Moffat Cemetery.
