We commented on FB after reading Ethel had passed. Our intentions were to attend funeral to see the family and extend sympathy, however we had altered plans taking us to Edmonton. We both have known Ethel many many years. Many fond memories. Know it’s always difficult losing a loved one,,even when expected.
Sending our respect, love and sincere sympathy to you all.

I remember being told stories when your parents welcomed mine to Canada, gave my dad his first job, here. The last time I saw your mom, I had mentioned the story of my dad shooting animals and bringing them home, feeling he was feeding the family. This included an owl (not dead, that opened its eyes while in the house), a skunk that sprayed before shot and your mom added that he shot a fox and brought it home (this was news I had not yet known). They were an integral part of my parent's arrival to a new country and were talked of fondly. May she rest in peace.

To Marie, Ruth and families. So sorry for your loss. We got to know Ethel when we bought our cabin at Crooked Lake. She was a special lady and we enjoyed seeing her when she visited. Cherish your memories.
