It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gina Charmaine Alexson-Veidenheimer, Ka-pi-mit Kiniw Aqway, Dancing Eagle Woman, who left us to be with the creator on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 4:30 a.m. at the age of 52 years.
Gina was predeceased by her mother Charlotte Alexson and baby brother Merle.
Left to mourn her passing is her beloved husband Robert; father Karl Lerat; children: Fallon, Jesse and Alexi; sisters: Claudette, Pamela and Desiree (Raymond); brother Karl; grandbabies: Emmah, Tyrece, Hudson, Malaya, Sophia, Zyrah and Avannah; special aunt/mom Marilyn; best friends Crystal and Tracey; special in-laws Rita, Rene, April and Terry; along with many nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives.
The wake took place on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. in the Kahkewistahaw Community Complex, Kahkewistahaw First Nation. The funeral service was held on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., in the Kahkewistahaw Community Complex with Elder Milton Gamble officiating. The pallbearers were Kristen Alexson, Khalid Lerat, Wendell Lerat, Noel Ponace, Dagon Alexson and Raymond Bacon. The family requested that no children under the age of 12 years attend services.
