He is strongly remembered and survived by his three sons; Taylor, Cordell, and Ryley Inkson all of Edmonton, his parents James and Sheila Inkson of Ituna, SK; his brother Ashley Inkson of Balgonie, SK; his sister Andrea Davidson of Saskatoon, SK; and nieces and nephews Justin (Shyanne) & Jamie Inkson of Regina and Cali & Chace Davidson of Saskatoon as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandparents - Granny and Grandad Inkson and Grandma and Grandpa Blackstock.
Our dad was born on October 30th, 1965 in Regina, Saskatchewan. He loved growing up on the family farm in Ituna where his heart still lies today. The farm holds cherished memories for him with many family gatherings throughout the years. As one cousin said "your dad was one of those people everyone liked. He always made you feel welcome and always made you feel he was genuinely happy to see you!" After high school, Dad moved to Alberta to work in the oil patch and later settled down in Edmonton where he dedicated his life to raise and care for the three of us. Any chance he had we were off to our grandma and grandpa's farm as family was very important to him.
Our dad worked incredibly hard and our family admires his work ethic. Even though he put in long hours he loved his job at Boyd's Excavating and never missed a day of work nor was he ever late.
Dad was diagnosed at the age of five with Type I Diabetes. Unfortunately life was a constant battle for him living with the challenges of this disease. Even though dad had many up's and down's throughout his life, his sense of humour always prevailed through adversity and kept everyone in stitches.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Inkson family farm in Ituna, Saskatchewan on Saturday, June 11th at 2:00 pm. The farm is 12 miles south from Ituna and 15 miles north from Balcaress on the 310 highway.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
