Joan was predeceased by her husband Jeffrey Donald Cross, parents Julia and Crommlyn Nixon, three sisters: Lynette (Sally), Kathleen (Kit) and Mary Audry (Molly).
She is survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Joan was an active member of St. John’s Anglican Church and also the Royal Canadian Legion where she served on the sick and visiting committee for many years distributing fruit, candy and HUGS. Her home was open to many friends, a warm place to be comforted or just a lovely cup of tea.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in St. John’s Anglican Church, Fort Qu’Appelle with Rev. Warren Huestis officiating. Cremation with interment in Lintlaw Cemetery at a later date.
