On Sunday, March 4, 2012, Gordon Herron, Grenfell, SK., died at the age of 89 years. The funeral service will be held in the Grenfell United Church, Grenfell, SK., on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Linda Stumpf officiating. Interment of cremated remains in the Wolseley Cemetery. Predeceased by his wife Della in 1998; son Jim Herron; great granddaughter Meara Hunt; parents John and Gudrun Herron; brother Robert Herron and sister Jane Reavie. Gordon is survived by two daughters, Roxaline Heinemann (Walter) Grenfell and Debrah (Larry) Velestuk, Estevan; six grandchildren: Darlyn (Dan) Hunt, Paula (Maury) Turgeon, Tracy (Kevin) Fichter, Brent (Abbey) Velestuk, Kara (Joe) Thrienen and Erin (Brian) Boulet; thirteen great grandchildren; and sister Mary Hebb of Regina. Gordon is also survived by his nieces and nephews. If friends so desire, contributions to a charity of their choice may be tokens of remembrance.
