Laura Logan

March 9, 1921November 11, 2021

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother left this world in the early morning hours of November 1, 2021. She will be forever mourned and loved by her immediate family, her extended family and by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children – Georgina (Jack) Bellisle, Gaye (Glen) Johnson, Bob (Candy) Logan and Sandy (Larry Beasley) Logan. Laura’s 100 years on this Earth will forever inform and inspire her children, her six grandchildren and her seventeen great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by the love of her life - her husband George, by her parents, her three sisters, her brother, a grandchild, her four sisters-in-law and her six brothers-in-law. Mom and Dad gave much to Wolseley – their home together since 1943.Mom was instilled with the values and rhythms of the Prairies. She had high standards and high moral principles. She was always concerned about the well-being of others. She was practical. She was also a contemporary woman. She was self-determining. She accepted and embraced a changing world. She charted her own course while being acutely aware of the needs of others. She was a model for all of us. Mom and Dad are together again – in the arms of the angels. We will forever be grateful and give thanks for Mom and her life.

We thank the staff of Lakeside Home for the great care they gave Mom. We thank the staff of the Indian Head Hospital for the gentle and thoughtful care they gave Mom as her life ended. Mom’s funeral service and interment, officiated at by Father Michael Bruce, took place on November 16, 2021. She now rests for eternity beside Dad in the Wolseley Cemetery. We thank Ben Banbury and the staff of Tubman Funeral Home for their gentle support and guidance.

If desired, please make a contribution- in Memory of Mom – to the Residents Activity Fund, Lakeside Nursing Home, Box 10, Wolseley, Saskatchewan S0G 5H0.

I am very sorry to hear of Aunt Laura's passing.
I enjoyed sharing the Mellor family history I compiled when we last met. It was worth the effort to see how much she enjoyed seeing it.
I will always remember Aunt Laura and Uncle George.
It was good to know them.

We are very sorry to hear about Aunt Laura’s passing.
When we visited her, she was always happy to see us and made us feel welcomed.
She didn’t show her age and her enthusiasm for life made her seem younger than she was.
We will miss her.
