

On Wednesday, February 12, 2014, Laurence (L. A.) Sluser, beloved husband of Mary Sluser, Glenavon, SK., died at the age of 93 years. The funeral service will be held in the Glenavon Centennial Hall, Glenavon, SK., on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., with Lynette Callfas officiating. Interment in the Glenavon Cemetery. A public visitation for family and friends will be held in the Tubman Funeral Home, Wolseley, on Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Predeceased by his first wife, Vera and infant son Kenneth in 1949, parents, John and Eva Slusar, and brother, Clifford (Olive) Slusar, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Peter Iluk, John (Olga) Anaka, Joan Iluk and Robert Glen. Laurence is survived by his loving wife, Mary, three sons: Bob (Debbie) Sluser, Emerald Park, SK.; Craig (Shelley) Sluser, Edmonton, AB.; and Bill (Linda) Sluser, Glenavon, SK.; his grandchildren: Joy (Andrew); Mark and his children, Amelie, Ava, Jacob and Amerra; and Lee (Shannon) and their child Colton; Alyssa (Darwin) and their children Darian and Brayden; Alann (Roshan) and Lisette; and Sarah (Kevin) Sliva and their children, Quintin, Luke and Elaina; Scott and Dennis Sluser; one sister, Olive Glen, Victoria, BC.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Mike (Jean) Iluk, Wolseley, SK.; Alice (Ralph) Ennis, Wolseley, SK.; Ernie Iluk, Melville, SK.; Eugene (Ruth) Iluk, Melville, SK.; and Ann Iluk, Kipling, SK., as well as his nieces, nephews and their families.
