Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.  Lillian was our teacher in Grenfell many years ago and we always kept in touch each Christmas. She was a wonderful person and will be missed in the world of music as well.

Lillian was a shining example of a life well-lived. She loved her family, her students, her community, her church. She was a devoted volunteer and an inspiration to all who knew her. The music community has lost a loyal supporter and very dear friend. I imagine a heavenly choir, with Lillian as director, and it makes me smile. It was my privilege to know her.

On behalf of the Saskatchewan Music Festival Association, we send our condolences to Lillian's family and friends. She was truly an honored member of our association and will be missed!

I was very sad to hear of Lillian's passing.  She has been associated with our family, through music, since 1950.  Jack and Lillian played in the adult band conducted by my father, D'Arcy, driving into Regina once a week for rehearsals.  She maintained contact with our family after my parents passed away, and I have kept Lillian's Christmas letters...always admiring her command of the English language.  She had such spunk and lived life to the fullest...a lesson for us all.  She gave so much to the musical community, and the last time I spoke to her was at the Saskatchewan Music Conference in 2010, when she was presented with an award which was well deserved. She was truly an incredible lady who inspired so many.

We will miss Lillian very much. She was so sweet to everyone.

I had Lillian For a teacher back in the 50's The last time I saw her was at Grefell's 100th Birthday I and my sister Shirley gave her a ride back to Regina. We had such a nice visit during the ride back .our prayers are you will always remeber Miss Lillain

Mrs. Mitchell will always be remembered as our ablsolutely best teacher ever.  She put her heart and soul into her teaching, her Glee Club, and her life.  She was always so pleased to see one of her former students, and she was amazing at keeping up with their lives.  She will be missed.  Our deepest condolences.

My mother talked fondly of Mrs. Mitchell, every time we saw her, walking down the street or ran into her in a store, my mom (Judy Zorn) would take us to talk to her and would tell us stories about when Mrs. Mitchell was her teacher.  I am sure she had that effect on all of her students. She will be greatly missed by many whose lives she touched
