Lori held a passion for education, she impacted the lives of many people and students throughout her career. Lori’s career led her to many educational teaching and administrative positions within the province, federal government, First Nation organizations and schools. Her desire to teach at “home” and provide an environment where each student could realize their potential led her to her most recent employment as principal at the Nakoda Oyade Education Centre.
Lori practiced a traditional lifestyle and she believed in the strength of prayer. She respected and understood the need for prayer to promote health, happiness and understanding. Her purpose here was done and the Creator called her home shortly after she completed prayers on Sunday evening.
The family would like to thank everyone from near and far for all their prayers and support that we have received through this very difficult time. Lori’s memory will forever be cherished and she will be sadly missed by all her family, friends, educational community, and the community of Carry the Kettle First Nation… Mitake Oyasin.
