Mabel Irene George

December 23, 1940 - April 28, 2012

On Saturday, April 28, 2012, Mabel Irene George, Ochapowace First Nation, SK., passed on to the spirit world at the age of 71 years. The funeral service will be held in the Kakisiwew School Gymnasium, Ochapowace First Nation, on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. A wake will be held on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. Interment in the Ochapowace Cemetery. Predeceased by son, Darcy George, grandchildren, Kendal and Tony Akapew, father, Robert E. Shavetail, mother, Georgina Kequahtooway, step father, Gordon Kequahtooway, brother, John Nanapay, sisters, Mary Bruce, Elizabeth "Liz" Nemathi and Shirley Shavetail. Mabel is survived by her children, Robert (Karen), Darrell (Diane), Gerald (Tracy), Wes, Lila (Craig), Alex (Vhenus), Tracey Lynn, Randy (Candace), Tim (Cynthin), Jolene, Owen (Amber), Les (Martina), adopted daughter, Alice (Hubert), as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and adopted families. The family would like to thank the Nursing Staff of the RGH Renal Unit and the Nursing Staff of Unit 5E as well as the Doctors for the wonderful care Mabel recieved.
