On Thursday, January 1, 2015 Evangelist Melvin Stevenson, Yorkton, Sask. went home suddenly to be with Jesus. The funeral service will be held in the Kahkewistahaw Community Center, Kahkewistahaw First Nation on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors Clarke Stevenson and Robert McLean officiating. Interment will be in the Kahkewistahaw Cemetery. A wake will be held in the Kahkewistahaw Community Center Thursday evening commencing at 4:00 p.m. with a wake service at 7:00 p.m. Predeceased by his parents Roger and Rena Stevenson; brothers Walter, Roger Riley Jr. and Lloyd Sparvier he is survived by his wife Teresa; daughters Sonya (Derrick) and Ashley (Shane); sons David (Jeannette), Kenny and Jesse (Michelle) and thirteen grandchildren; sisters Pauline, Carole (Allan) and Bernice (Kelly) and brothers Clarke (Marlene) and Timothy (Sharon).
