Dear Slater and Family,

Sincere sympathy to you on Myrna's passing. I recall as a girl being in awe of Myrna's amazing ability to recite poetry for an audience, holding our rapt attention and admiration--what a gift! And more recently, both coming to our 50th Wolseley High Anniversary back in 2011, to help us celebrate and Welcome us on behalf of the town. Your presence made our first evening together extra "special", as we all admired you both as a couple. Will be thinking of you, and keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely, Carol Schroeder (Sexsmith).

dear Slater blessings to you for losing your best friend she was a lovely lady with never an unkind word to anyone. she would remember your name and always says hello. i remember talking with her one time nd she whispered that when she and Isabel were young they got into all kinds of mischief and laughed. i am sure she did and i can just picture the two of them involved in something. she had a wonderful life and accomplished so much God will bless her well and now with both of the sisters together heaven will never be the same. she is at peace with no pain and she will remember everyone by name again. love to all of your family

Growing up, Auntie Myrna and Uncle Slater would take Cory and I for 2 weeks in the summer.
That's HUGE!
Who does that anymore..?
Anyway, they showered us with praise and we thought we were the center of the universe for an entire 2 weeks each year.
I blame my inflated sense of self worth on them.
We baked cinnamon buns , went on drives in the 'talking car' - always singing at the top of our lungs (pack up your troubles in your old kit bag and smilesmilesmile, or kkkkkkaty beautiful Katey.. your the only gggggggirl that I adore!)
Hours of make believe in her enchanted yard with the fish pond. Running a muck with Bridget, Kathleen, and JJ.
The sound of a train will always remind me of being tucked tight in bed at Auntie Myrna and Uncle Slater's in Wolesly .
We were always allowed to watch the Disney Channel.
The best Christmases were at Uncle Slater's and Auntie Myrna's.
The fun. Auntie Myrna and Auntie Isabel steeling the show with witty lyrics. Always ready with a funny story.
We got the biggest greetings, and the best , heartfelt goodbyes.
I loved going to the coulee.. camping..art
The memories could not be more rich. Auntie Myrna loved me well
I am forever grateful to my Garden girls who taught me how to be present, genuine, positive, and integral

My deepest sympathy to Slater and the whole Tubman family💖 my heart breaks with yours, Myrna was such a gracious, thoughtful, happy, loving lady. She touched so many lives, especially those closest to her, she adored and doted on Slater , her children, and her grandchildren, you were her pride and joy! She loved and was loved back by so many, she will be missed so very much. May the memories of her give you peace and comfort, knowing she is in a better place, maybe sharing a coffee and a laugh with Bill & Gayle B as well...May Gods blessing and healing be with each of you❤️🙏🏻❤️

My deepest condolences to Slater and Family. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time.
Myrna was a good friend and a wonderful lady. She was the first person to come to my back door when we first moved to Wolseley to invite my husband and I to dinner after church and to welcome us to Wolseley.
She was just a real pleasure to be around and has touched my life as well as many others.
Myrna will be missed by many .

We travelled from BC by car to Wolseley in 1984 with our one year old (Heather) and stayed with Slater (Doug's cousin) and Myrna for a few days. We had a wonderful time. Myrna could not do enough for us. We have great memories of her graciousness and good nature. Our sympathy goes to Slater, Jim, Richard and Maureen and their families.
