She was predeceased by her parents, John and Emma Senft; husband Lorne; brother in law Leonard Kreutzer and daughter in law Darlene Gray.

Orpha was born on the farm north of Lipton, Saskatchewan, second daughter of John and Emma Senft. She took her early education at Headlands School and finished her education at Balfour Technical Collegiate in Regina.
After graduating Orpha worked in Regina before marrying Lorne Huber in August 1950. They took up residence in Lipton, eventually having three boys. When the Village of Lipton hired a full time administrator, she took the position in 1965 and worked there until she retired in 1991.
Orpha loved sports, either playing or watching her boys play. In her younger years she played softball with the women’s team up until her late 40’s. The winter was taken up with her favourite sport, curling. She played in Lipton for 66 consecutive years. She was so happy when Randy turned 50 and they could curl together. She retired from curling at 88 when they would not let her sweep any more.
Orpha also loved fishing, you knew when the long weekend came in May her and Lorne would be up north fishing. Her children and grandchildren all got time fishing with them as well.
Her passion at home was her flowers and garden. Every winter there were numerous boxes in the windows where she started her flowers and vegetables. She loved being in the yard and garden all summer. She enjoyed cooking meals for guests and her garden produce was always a large part of the meals.
Orpha continued to live at home in Lipton, doing her yard and garden until she fell ill last summer. As her health failed a little she moved into Harrison Manor in Fort Qu’Appelle for the past year.
